  • The manufacturer's load capacity must not be exceeded
  • The static load indicates the loading capacity at standstill
  • The dynamic load capacity refers exclusively to paved roads
  • The load must be evenly distributed over the surface

The following also applies to pick-ups with car registration (class M1 or M1G):

If the system remains permanently installed, the following clearance angles must be observed for the third brake light: 10 degrees to the right and left, as well as 10 degrees upwards and 5 degrees downwards. If these clearance angles are not observed, the brake light must be re-installed at the rear of the vehicle, taking into account the dimension limits of ECE R48. The standard third brake light must then be deactivated and the lens blackened.

Truck registered vehicles (class N1 or N1G) do not require an active third brake light.
